Off the ground, my 3w has to be halfway between my lead heel and the center of my stance. Off a tee, it's only slightly farther forward.

I was a 10hcp and did all these amateur things. I thought I was pretty good still though. Once I really started filming my swing and improving, I'm now a 3.2hcp. It makes a huge difference working on this stuff.

Need one of these for people, like me, who hit driver great but irons not as good!

This is a knock off of the zepp that came out at least 4 years ago. The zepp 2 u could put in ur pocket and it would show hip data. Also had a record mode where u could video swings and match them up with the numbers. It had hand plane and club going back and down and max hand speed. You would be directed to video lessons to improve where the numbers show u needed help. I guess they lost a law suit w arcos and had to discontinue it.

I tried a 9 wood when I was really struggling with my irons. It was so awesome that I added a seven wood to my bag. I use them both all the time. I never feel like I need to swing hard and these clubs are awesome for full shots, as well as half swings. I'm maybe a little embarrassed from an ego standpoint but my scores have really improved!

@MarkCrossfield I would love to have a lesson on the gears system, do you know of anywhere central Scotland that has this? This is exactly the same as me really comfortable irons driver launches low and fades.

Is there an equivalent drill with driver?

I just got these for Father’s Day. I was pretty excited until I saw the monthly fee. It’s just too expensive. I don’t mind paying around $5/month. But if it’s going to be $13/month, you should almost give the sensors away.

great video. I've noticed that my leg muscles in the rear leg are still weak enough to only be able to do this kind of move about half a round. It is very effective, but difficult physically.

As one who likes to wait it out and see what last year's top dog costs after the new ones come out, here are some typical U.S. online store prices a year later: Aerojet- $300 Mizuno 230s- $300 Paradym- $400 Stealth 2- $400 Wilson Titanium - $300 Cleveland XL2 is already $350. $250 next year? Last year I bought a new ZX5 for $180 shipped.

I do disagree with not looking for specific yardages. Many players are much stronger with full swing wedges rather than half swing. 90 and under shots. I generally get tighter from 130- 105 than 95 to 50 yards to the green. Thats just my 2 sense.

Excellent stuff. Coming from other sports and starting golf later but still young enough to force everything, now 30yrs later I have re-tooled the swing and getting rid of the left hip push was so hard but such a benefit. The next thing for me was to stop moving. Not literally but realizing how subtle it all is. Just throw the club and keep the body movement to a minimal except rotation. Love your stuff

Have always liked your videos Mark. I think this is a great example of how we don’t need to be devoted to the good of distance to hit a good score. Highlights the thinking approach to playing a hole to your own particular strengths and weaknesses. As a leftie, I am for ever leaking to the left hand side, if I can narrow down my miss radius then I hope to join the under 90 club on a regular basis.

Your right, but I hit it better with it almost flat on the ground. I tried this and my driver shaft and body type dictates this. I would have to bend down and drop my hands to an impossible level to get the toe up. More important is to have the ball sitting 30 to 50% above the driver head on the tee.
